My final semester of college included an internship opportunity at Mountain Pointe High School in Phoenix, AZ.
I followed around my mentor, Fred Mann, who serves as a guidance counselor and volleyball coach. As an intern, I was
involved with daily tasks around the office. Much of my time spent was shadowing my mentor, gaining valuable experience
through observation.
I was presented with the major task of helping organize the AIMS standardized test, with a passing grade required for
all Arizona students to graduate high school. I quickly learned the process of such tests, as well as all of the organization
that goes behind each test. I also gained experience as an authority of students, which has enabled my growth and
further development in preparation for a job with kids.

Skills
Customer Service:
Through my experience in the food industry, as well as volunteer work and internship opportunities, I have had many chances
to work with others. It has been necessary for my survival in these fields to be able to communicate and deal with co-workers
and peers. I have been able to maintain positive relations with vendors, as well as deal with customers face-to-face
on a nightly basis.
Leadership:
This has always been important, and the leadership skills I possess have been present dating back to high school.
I was on three different state championship volleyball teams, as well as being a captain my final two years in high school.
I was also denoted the captain at ASU, playing for the club volleyball team. I have been the designated leader in the
title of "Coach" for volleyball teams at both the high school and college levels. I have spent time as a volunteer counselor
for children, as well. Further, I have spent some time as a manager, with the responsibility of leading my kitchen staff
to optimal performance. Through all of these experiences, leadership has been developed and instilled into my personality.
Experimental Research Design / Analysis:
My college career includes a history of psychology courses, with several of these including experimental research.
I have been on both sides of experiments, both as a researcher and as a participant. Organization of a research design
is a complex process, and even more so to analyze. Between my experiences of studying experimental research as well
as actually participating on one end or another of the experiment have both been crucial in my development of such skills.
